What is neurology?
Neurology is a branch of science that studies diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. This branch deals with the causes, mechanisms, symptoms, diagnostic methods, treatment, and prophylaxis of neurological diseases.
Neurology is directly related to other branches of medicine, such as neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, endocrinology, psychiatry, etc. In general, any pathological changes in the body damage the nervous system to some extent. The main task of a neuropathologist is to detect primary or secondary damage to the nervous system.
